We are a class of Year 6 pupils who enjoy learning and make the most of the fantastic opportunities on offer at North Lakes School. Our teacher is Mrs Greenwood, she make our learning fun and enjoyable. Mrs Collins is also around Elterwater classroom, helping us learn and achieve our best and we have our own sports coach Mrs Ellwood who works with us throughout the week.

We are the class councillors, Chloe, Jack, Harrison and Ellyse and we are always on hand to listen and promote ideas we have for our school. Everyone can use the Suggestion Box in our classroom to place any thoughts or ideas on how we can improve our school even further! We know our ideas are always considered and discussed at the regular meetings.

Each term we participate in a Reading Challenge to encourage us to reach our targets. With Lord Kitchener’s challenge last term -  ’Read for our country!’ we now move on to Read For My School this term collecting Mayan treasure as we read! Which level do you think you will reach this term? We read every day in class, sometimes in a Guided session with Mrs Greenwood, sometimes as a study buddy for Year 3 or 4 pupils and other times we will be busy completing Reading Response tasks. As we say at North Lakes 'Kids Who Read Succeed!'

All of the Elterwater members work hard in our learning to develop the 5Rs -Relationships, Resilience, Resourcefulness, Reflecting and Risk taking.  All skills are important ingredients to success in our learning at North Lakes School. We are enquires too, Philosophising and asking questions constantly about many aspects of our learning. There is never a quiet moment in our classroom!
