Head's Welcome

‘A happy, welcoming and very inclusive school where you teach pupils to be reflective and resilient learners’ - Ofsted 2018

On this website we try to give you a flavour of the school, but the best way to find out more is to come and visit us during a school day.

Childhood is a very special time so we aim to make school life an experience which is stimulating, meaningful, memorable and fun. We will support each child in learning how to learn, building their independence and confidence. As we value each member of the school community, so the children value one another.

The education of each child includes not only their academic achievement, but their social, moral, spiritual, creative, emotional and physical development. We have high expectations in all areas including sport, music and the arts, and children are encouraged to achieve their best. As a result, children grow in confidence, and this boosts their progress in all areas of learning.

Learning is a partnership between home and school, and your role is crucial: we aim to keep you well informed and you are always welcome to come into school to talk to us. We very much believe that every child matters and we seek to provide the very best of opportunities to increase each child’s life chances as they face a rapidly changing future.

We provide equality of learning opportunities for all children in school, regardless of gender, race, age or disability. We are very proud to have achieved the Inclusion Quality Mark Award in recognition of our well established inclusive practice.

If you would like to come into school to find out more, please do call us and we will be happy to make an appointment to meet you. We look forward to meeting and working with you.
