North Lakes School is sited on the west of Penrith in a pleasant suburban setting. The children enjoy extensive playing fields with a trim trail, a wild life area and large playgrounds, both at the front and back of the school. The school is well resourced, especially in technology.

 

The school was originally built of open plan design, but there has been extensive remodelling in recent years. There are nine classrooms, including the strategically resourced base.

 

The large Computing Lab has access for 30 pupils and data projection facilities this is supported with laptops and 160 iPads to support learning across the curriculum. There is also a well furnished practical area which is used by all classes for Art and Craft, Design and Food Technology. A central library serves the whole school with books being constantly updated. A large Hall not only gives good space for P.E but is also used for dining and assemblies.
