I found North Lakes school to be an inspiring place to visit. There was a palpable and very beautiful sense of community which all the adults and children felt they truly belonged to. I felt that I was very privileged to be a part of this little Cumbrian vision of heaven for a couple of days.

I would just like to congratulate your school on the fabulous and very interesting display I saw last weekend at Penrith Railway Station.  I was sitting on a train and I found it fascinating reading all about bees and it was beautifully presented and cared for.
Thank you for improving my train journey and my knowledge on bees.

We have been working with Elterwater, Buttermere and Rydal Water on a Border Reivers inspired project at Tullie House this half term. Yesterday we went to visit the pupil's Mini Museum and we were blown away by how much effort, skill and thought had gone into the display. From the outdoor fire demonstration (!) to the museum shop and café, everything was truly fantastic. The pupils had worked incredibly hard creating objects for their museum and they all took their roles on the day very seriously which was great to see. Looking through the pictures on your brilliant website has really brought home how much work has gone into the project.

Working with the pupils and teachers has been an amazing experience for us, thank you so much for all your hard work.

We (Rachel and I) attended another session of the Saturday Morning Orchestra held at North Lakes School. Rachel has been attending since October and by Christmas she hit her end of year maths target. I was so surprised by this achievement and I think Rachel was too. We have been attending since then. Rachel has played her flute which she is learning at school. We have three guitar's at home and Rachel has been learning base guitar. The Orchestra has lots of instruments for kids to try out. I have seen other kids really come out of their shell at the session and it is brilliant to hear what they have been learning at the end of the season. I've been learning different instruments too. Parents can stop and have fun. Its a great place to learn and improve many different skills. Please give it a try.

Fabulous new look website! My son couldn't wait to get home and add it to his home screen on his ipad.  I take a minute to look every night to make sure I know what is planned for the following day, week, month.  I always have a peek at the children's blogs  (makes me laugh what some write about) but they are having a go which is fab.  Myself and my son often look through past sporting events where he has represented NLS to see if he's on any photos. Keep up the good work, I'd be lost without it!
