School Term Dates & Attendance
It is proven by research that children with strong attendance achieve better progress at school. The school’s target for the year is for every child to exceed 96% attendance, (no more than 7 days’ absence per year). If a child is absent, we ask the parents to telephone school by 09:30 that day. Similarly, a written note regarding medical or dental appointments during the day should be sent into school. A list of school holiday dates can be found in the appendix. In order to support the children's learning, holidays will NOT be authorised in term time, unless in truly exceptional circumstances.
