Welcome to Ullswater class web page. We are a bubbly year 3 and year 4 class with a love for learning. Our teacher is Mrs Smith. We are also very lucky to have Mrs Sewell and Mrs Ellwood to teach our PE lessons.
One of the first things we did was create our own class charter and our learners' contracts. We decided not to call them 'rules' as we wanted to feel that we were always working towards positive goals and that when things did go a bit wrong we could support each other to get back on track.
Many pupils have already been awarded team points for great effort, trying their best and helping others.
We are getting to know our 5 Rs and are using the animals as reminders of how their qualities can help us with our learning. Here is a quick summary-
The resourceful spider reminds us to think of new ideas and make links.
The elephant has good relationships in his family and guides us to communicate and care for others.
The reflective owl helps us to think about any improvements we could make with our work.
The resilient penguin guides us to keep going and never give up.
The risk taking bee inspires us to face new challenges and try something different.
Learning is so much fun with the 5Rs!
