Y6 Lake District Residential (Jul 22)
During the last full week of term, Year 6 pupils enjoyed an outdoor residential around Ullswater with providers Real Adventure.
The children took a two-day journey including a trip on the Ullswater Steamer to Howtown, followed by a five mile lakeside hike to Patterdale. They pitched camp and slept under canvas at Side Farm, playing games and cooking their own meal - before next day taking to the lake for a canoeing experience, finishing up at Glenridding.
The children showed great resilience, positivity and collaboration. We were complimented by other campers at Side Farm on the children’s behaviour and sensitivity – making us very proud of them. Many thanks to all staff and volunteers for their support in giving the children such a memorable end of school experience.
