At the end of May, more than sixty pupils from Years 5 and 6 joined our memorable outdoor residential which was led successfully again by Dan Robinson and the Real Adventure team.
In beautiful weather and stunning scenery the children tackled a series of exciting challenges, offering great mutual support and showing resilience, courage and determination. Many children tackled a day long mountain walk, along with other activities over the three days including ghyll scrambling, bouldering, coasteering, canoeing and climbing.
One night was spent camping and one night sleeping in the hostel at Hartsop, while we enjoyed the wholesome fresh home cooking, and loved experiencing the local wildlife from bats to newts. The children made so many special memories and had such a lot of fun over the three days, while growing as learners and individuals.
Many thanks to Dan Robinson and his excellent team of instructors, and grateful thanks to all staff and helpers who joined us over the three days, providing such a great experience for all.
