Viking Day (Jan 2018)
This term all Year 3 and 4 classes have enjoyed a few hours in the life of a Viking, transported back in time on the school field!
The pupils learned the importance of fire in Viking times and learned to light and make their own fire using a fire steel. Everyone was able to make a small amount of dough and cook on the fire using a stick as a rotating spit.
The weather was bitterly cold when the Viking experiences were shared and acted as a true reminder for us of how hard life was in those times
