On Monday 11th July, North Lakes took a big part in the annual Transition Choir Concert held at Penrith Leisure Centre. The schools that took part in the concert were: North Lakes, Ullswater, Stainton, Plumpton, St Cathrines, Skelton and Beaconside. Each School sang an individual song and we sang several songs as a Transition Choir, including Fear No More, 1234, Good News, Down by the Riverside and I Can’t Take You Nowhere. It was a really fun night and overall everyone enjoyed themselves. Blue Jam with Jilly Jarman were involved with all the rehearsals, playing all the music and conducting some of the songs. Mr Soulsby led the night, along with Mrs Bishop, and he also conducted one of the songs.
Mrs Yates went into all the schools that took part and took a philosophy session with us while Jen (who works with Blue Jam) was taking photos. This helped us to learn about the ideas that we sang about in our songs. We enjoyed the night - thank you, Mr Soulsby, and well done to all those who took part!
