Year 6 and Ullswater class entered the Herald Writing competition in November. The Theme was ‘If I could talk to the animals’ We had to write a fictional piece in prose. Ullswater worked very hard writing about their fictional chats with Stone Age animals. We edited and redrafted our writing, presenting it in a decorated folder.
Year 6 completed a homework task from the view point of the horse in World War 1. The children were all very motivated by the competition and loved the thought of writing for the wider audience, the readers of the Herald.
We were photographed with our work by the Herald on Tuesday 9th December. The winning entry will be published in the Herald on December 27th. So fingers crossed!
