Skelton Show (July 2011)

On the Saturday 2nd July the Transition Choir went to Skelton show to entertain people, singing songs like ‘1234’ and ‘Fear No More the Heat of the Sun’. There were competitions to decide the best livestock and dogs. There were a lot of agriculture and food stalls. I went to a burger stall and bought a 100% British beef burger, but unfortunately I dropped a 50p coin into the sweet chilli sauce - I’m glad the man didn’t make me fish it out! Before the singing section, there was a motorcyclist doing stunts over his van and trailer. Then we marched onto the show square with the samba band playing ‘Down by the Riverside’.
