The Year 3 & 4's have been learning about healthy eating this term in our Science topic, investigating food groups and balanced diets. To aid our learning we arranged a visit to our local Sainsbury's store to have a look for ourselves at the vast array of foods we have available to sell to us here in the UK.
The education team member Alison showed us around the store, telling us how they grouped their foods. It was very enlightening to all the children to see just how many different food choices we have for each of the different food groups. We found the fresh fish and meat counter particularly interesting, looking at just how many different fish their are and discussing from which animals the different meats originate from. Thank you, Sainsbury's!
