G&T Maths Event (Nov 2017)
On 24th November 2017 we three girls went to Morland Village Hall for a gifted and talented maths day. When we arrived we were split into 6 different groups that we worked with for most of the day. The challenges varied throughout the day with most really stretching us and making us think deeply. There were many other schools: such as Morland, Long Marton, Brough, Kirkby Stephen and Penruddock as well as the Year 9 students from UCC, and Appleby Grammar School. We completed many activities including the kangaroo test, logic game and a fun game to end the day with. We has so much fun exercising our collaborative skills too to be successful.
Thank you to all the adults that helped us on our mathematical, collaborative and persevering that day - we couldn’t have gone without you!
