Choir Sing @ Sainsbury's for Red Nose Day (March 2015)

The Spring term is always packed with special ‘National Events’ that we love to support and celebrate at North Lakes. One of the best ways to celebrate is through song and our choir have not disappointed this year!   On Red Nose Day, once again the choir had pride of place in Sainsbury’s Penrith store, entertaining the Friday Shoppers with a number of roof raising numbers including the chart hit ‘Rather Be’, the 80’s classic ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’, Motown standard ‘Ain’t no Mountain’ as well as the new National Sing Up Day anthem ‘I’m Still Singing’.  However the highlight of the performance was a rousing rendition of the Red Nose Day schools’ song ‘Making Funny Faces’.

Although the children were adorned in Red Nose Day gear, it was clear that it was North Lakes School performing - well done to everyone and thank you to all those who came along to support us and donated towards Sainsbury’s Red Nose Day Collection. Thanks also go to Tony Gale and Alison Morton from Sainsbury’s for inviting us. Did you spot NLS Choir   doing the ‘Conga’ around  Sainsbury’s ?  Check out the short  video  online!
