Year of the Sunflower Art Competition (Summer 2015)
Some of our lucky children got to enter the Hayes Garden World Summer Flower competition. Each competitor had to design a new seed packet for Sunflowers. Children planned their designs and then completed their final entry. Some of the Year 6 even had the privilege of working with Mrs Grainger in small groups to refine and improve their designs.
Lots of different stimuli were used: a selection of real sunflowers, sunflowers painted by different artists and other sunflower seed packets.
The first prize is £1,000 for school, the second £500 and the third £250. We wish every pupil that entered good luck!
