Y5&6 Singing at Dutton Lodge (Dec 2022)
Singers from Year 5 and 6 were lucky enough to be invited to sing at Dutton Lodge Retirement Village, performing in front of many of the residents and staff. What a fantastic festive occasion it was! The children’s singing brought the Christmas cheer everyone was hoping for, with residents, and staff alike, joining in with traditional carols and more modern Christmas songs; we even got an encore!
To say thank-you, the manager of Dutton Lodge made a generous contribution to school funds and even organised the big man himself to pay us a special visit – giving each of us sweets and chocolates. It’s safe to say that we had a lot of fun performing and look forward to the opportunity again next year!
