Y3&4 Swimming (Spring 2017)
Pupils in Year 3 and 4 have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in their swimming lessons at Penrith Leisure Centre each week. They have completed their ten week teaching block. It has been fantastic to see the children’s confidence and skills in this area develop over time.
All pupils, regardless of ability have made progress: some pupils are now much more confident to splash and get their face wet; others are swimming the width of the pool unaided and some have perfected their ability to dive into the pool and are learning to be more effective in different strokes. Thank you to all the parents who have supported this programme. Without your weekly help walking the children to and from the Leisure Centre, this would not have been possible. Your continued support is appreciated.
