Y3&4 Gymnastics (Autumn 2016)

This term Windermere and Coniston have had the opportunity to take part in gymnastics at Penrith Leisure Centre. We have had a great time and learnt a variety of gymnastic movements from forward rolls to using spring boards. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this experience and Coniston can’t wait to continue after Christmas!

Ewan - “I like gymnastics because everybody can take part. It is a lot of fun and helps us develop our strength and stamina.”

Amelie - “In gymnastics we have done bridges, splits, cat stretches and much more! Gymnastics is fun and we learn cool moves.”

Amy S - “I love gymnastics because it is a really fun activity! Even if you can’t do it you can have a go and you never know - you might get better.”

Connor G - “Gymnastics has been utterly amazing!”

Shay B - “Gymnastics was amazing because we could do stretches and flex like we never knew we could do before.”

Gracey J – “Everyone has been fantastic at gymnastics, because of the warm ups (like cat stretches, splits) that we had to do.”

Malina – “We learned so many new moves, like splits and cart wheels. It was so much fun, I think everyone enjoyed it.”

Giorgio – “It was amazing because we could do new things and didn’t realise we could!”
