On Saturday 10th November, we hosted the first Transition Singers day to kick off the 4th Year of the Penrith Schools’ Transition Choir.
The day was led by Jilly Jarman from BlueJam, leader of the Samba Workshops, and Sarah Wallcook from Soundwave Cumbria who led an Opera Masterclass based on Hansel and Gretel.
Twelve children from North Lakes took part in the day and, after an intense day of workshops, the children performed to a large audience of family and friends. Our children were joined by pupils from Ullswater Community College, St Catherine’s RC, Beaconside, Hayton, Plumpton, Armathwaite and Kirkoswald schools.
