The children boarded the RMS Titanic with a very special quartet from Cumbria Music Service. The ‘Solway Quartet’ took the whole school on the epic journey of the Titanic, exploring the music of the Titanic era. The Autumn Waltz, Ragtime, composition and singing were all part of our experience. Every pupil was given a boarding card, with the name of a real passenger from the Titanic. At the end of the performance we heard of their fates! Sadly, most of us were drowned.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit by the talented musicians from the Cumbria Music Service. Many of the choir are looking forward to performing alongside them at ‘The Wreck of the Titanic’ concert at the Sands Centre on April 16th
