Swimming Gala (May 2015)
With this annual event not taking place last year swimmers were even keener to dive in and show their talents in 2015. The gala took place at the beginning of June and North Lakes has a strong team of 13 swimmers who competed hard and represented our school with true team spirit. There were many great performances from our speedy crew, who in the end were placed third in their category. Well done to Keeley T, Abbie B, Abby H, Ellie S, Tyler K, Harrison F, Robert R, Elliot K, Harvey R, Harvey B, Matt A, Ben E and Adie T.
For our school trophy - The Margaret Wilson Cup - there was a very tight race this year with very strong competition from all the Year 6 swimmers. It was a nail biting finish but in the end Abbie B took the honours, just pipping Keeley T who had won their earlier heat, Abbie will hold the cup for the forthcoming year. Well done to all our Year 6 team who showed excellent sporting attitudes.
