Summer Reading Challenge: Space Chase (July 2019)
This Summer, Penrith Library are running their annual reading challenge to encourage children in the area to read over the holidays. This year the theme is Space Chase. You will meet The Rockets, a loveable space family, you must help them before the aliens grab all of the books! We are very lucky to have a huge wealth of amazing books in the town and all available for free!
To join in this summer just go along to the library and sign up. You will be given a Space Chase mission folder and you will collect special stickers every time you complete a book. Another prize this year is a space chase kit bag, a certificate and medal and the chance to win your own Kindle Fire. School will win a special prize if our school has the most children entering and completing the challenge! The challenge started on 13th July and finishes on 7th September – so plenty of time to read your 6 books. What are you waiting for? Get down to Penrith Library and get your challenge started!
