Last term Year 4&5 studied the Shang Dynasty as part of their Early Civilisations topic. To finish the topic the we organised a Chinese Buffet. The classes made their own spring rolls with rice paper, carrots, peas and beansprouts.
They tasted spring rolls dipped in chilli sauce, oyster sauce and soy sauce. They practised using their chopsticks to eat noodles and finished their meal with a fortune cookie. Everyone tried new foods and really enjoyed learning how to use chopsticks, which they took home to eat with. The photos share the fun and giggles involved in this new experience.
