Safer Internet Day (Feb 2022)
On Tuesday 8th February, North Lakes joined the global Safer Internet Day campaign to promote the safe and responsible use of technology.
To celebrate and promote the day, we joined a special National assembly, explored our school Online Safety rules, sang a special Online Safety song called ‘Be Safe’ and learned about Online Safety in special lessons throughout the week. We enjoyed exploring our Safer Internet Day Frog site. This year, Safer Internet Day 2022’s theme was: ‘All Fun and Games; exploring respect and relationships online’.
Online Safety awareness at North Lakes doesn’t stop in the classroom and we regularly provide advice via our social media pages and provide specific advice via email.
During the summer term we will be updating our ‘I Wish My Teacher Knew’ page on each class page. Children can also access CEOP, Childline and Safer Internet Centre via the class dashboard.
