Riding for the Disabled [July 2018]
Eve Pattinson is the dedicated organiser and leader for our local Riding for the Disabled. She is assisted by a group of volunteers who support Eve with organising the horses and supporting the riding. Some of our pupils attend RDA each Thursday afternoon. They benefit enormously. They have to mount the horses, sit and balance. They listen, observe and have to follow instructions. Most of the children can ride independently led by an adult.
The children at North Lakes look forward to their lesson and are so appreciative of Eve and all the volunteers. Our year ends with a riding picnic and we always look forward to an ice–cream. Thankyou Eve, a brilliant year of riding!
