Quicksticks Hockey (Feb 2019)

On the 12th of February, three teams of Year 3 & 4 children went to Penrith Leisure Centre to take part in the annual Quicksticks competition. The children were fantastic role models to those around them and showed off their sporting skills.

In the first round, they faced some tough competition. They played a variety of schools and had to focus on their teamwork and communication to be successful. Our teams had great defence strategies and were able to use this to their advantage during the matches. Their hard work paid off as team A and team B won all of their games! Team C were also incredibly successful and they won 2 out of their 3 matches.

This meant that all 3 teams made it through to the semi-final round. All of the semi-final games were nail biting! The teams gave 100% effort to their final matches and supported each other. Team B and C were both in incredibly close matches and narrowly missed beating the opposition to proceed to the final. Team A managed to win their match and will progress to the next round in April.

Well done to all involved- you were great representatives for our school!
