Quick Sticks Hockey (Feb 2016)
Three teams of Year 3&4 children represented NLS at the Eden district hockey tournament on the 23rd February at Penrith Leisure centre. It was a cold day, but everyone soon got warmed up as the games got underway.
All teams played four matches against a variety of schools from our area. There was some outstanding play and tactics with all our teams working together right up to the final whistle. After four hours of play we were all totally shattered! All players were again excellent sporting ambassadors for our school. They played with grit and determination and really did themselves proud.
Well done and a big thank you to our parent helpers on the day who made it possible to take three teams to the tournament! North Lakes “Lightning” will go on to play in this year’s Eden final at Kirkby Stephen on 14 April.
