Poetry-Mon Go! (Oct 2016)
Celebrating national poetry day was different this year. With the nation’s recent craze of searching for Pokémon characters, Mrs Greenwood put a slight twist on this and had us searching for poetry pieces around the school grounds! Exercising collaborative muscles as well as our noticing muscle, teams set off on a challenge to piece together a famous poem!
There were a number of rules we had to adhere to but the activity was fun and challenging. We certainly had to work together as a team to succeed. Once we’d finished there was time to appreciate some of the poems – our top three “likes” were The Jabberwocky, Please Mrs Butler and Kubla Khan.
