P4C Gold BBC Broadcast (Sept 2019)
As you may recall, at the end of the Summer Term, North Lakes School was reaccredited with the SAPERE Gold Award for Philosophy for Children. Early in the Autumn Term, North Lakes School featured in a special three-hour broadcast on BBC Radio Cumbria which showcased a Philosophy for Children Enquiry with last year’s Rydal Water class (now Bassenthwaite) and interviewed some fantastic ‘Philosophers’ from throughout or school.
Our pupils demonstrated some fantastic ‘Gold Standard’ thinking and the broadcast has been listened too across the UK.
