Ofsted & KS2 Results

North Lakes School was inspected by Ofsted in September 2018. This was a positive experience which reflected the efforts of all children, staff and governors.

The letter outlines how, “Pupils said that learning across the curriculum is interesting and fun,” while “they are happy and well cared for by the enthusiastic and skilled staff.”  Importantly, “Staff, parents and pupils agree that pupils are safe,” while “Parents and carers share pupils’ very positive view of the school.”

Ofsted found that, “The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection,” and, “As a result of improvements that you have made, standards in reading, writing and mathematics have risen.”  The full letter from Ofsted is available at the link below

These test attainment figures are very positive and they reflect a cohort with very good attitudes to learning, as well as a great deal of hard work and support from staff. There were only 4 disadvantaged pupils in this year’s cohort of 36 pupils, and they achieved well overall.

The improved attainment of the cohort is also reflected in the average scaled scores
