North Lakes School flew it's Platinum flag for Sing Up yet again and ‘Spread a Little Singing’ for National Sing Up Day on Thursday 14th March.

The day kicked off with a special warm up session to get everyone in tune for the day ahead. Children, adorned in Sing Up Hats, T-Shirts and Badges started each lesson with a song and Ullswater and Buttermere even sang at the Swimming Pool! What great
ambassadors!

Sing Up day was also the second day of our World Book Day and Song Writing Challenge Day. Children throughout the school worked with Jilly Jarman form BlueJam and Sarah Wallcook form Soundwave to produce two brand new songs 'It's a Secret' and 'Psychic Sidekick'.

The day concluded with a Special NSUD Celebratory performance for parents, family and friends. The whole school signed the Sing Up Day Anthem 'Can You Hear My Voice' which brought a tear to many an eye, sang 'Bridge over Troubled Water' and the World premier of the two new songs written by the children which were excellent. Our Sing Up celebrations ended with the announcement of our new Singing Leaders, congratulations go to Kennadie, Rhian, Ellie, Emily, Abby H, James E, Annie, Anthea, Edward, Mia, Laura H, Lainey and Devonne who join Maisie, Jessica, Matthew BN, Molly, Maddie K, Harry K, Macy and Tom.
