Well done to North Lakes choir last night at the Carol Festival. It was beautiful as usual. Mr Soulsby sets very high standards for your choir. It was strange not seeing Maisie wearing the purple jumper of NLS. I am sure that she misses NLS as much as I do. Well done again!

What fantastic thoughtful and creative pupils. I came to run some philosophy sessions with the kids and their emotional literacy is well above average. These children really know how to engage with stories philosophically. Not surprising as the school is obviously passionate about books. The walls are covered with fantastic and insightful writing. Hope to work with you all again soon.

Thank you so much for inviting our Winters Park Residential Home residents to the school for lunch last week - it was the most special day! Our residents have enjoyed the children coming in to read to them and chat with them so much over the past few weeks and it was such a special treat for them to be invited to the school for lunch. Our residents unanimously agreed that it was the most wonderful outing and they were all amazed at the way the pupils looked after them so beautifully. The pupils were all so kind, polite and welcoming and went out of their way to make the visit exceptional. Our residents were especially blessed by the beautiful table at lunch with the special tablecloth and they all really enjoyed the lovely meal, too - it literally couldn't have been a more perfect occasion for them! Please pass on our sincere thanks to all the pupils involved for their tremendous hospitality and commitment and for making it such a special day to remember and treasure for our folks.

Just seen the link on Facebook for the school newsletter so clicked onto it and so easy to do and great to see this in colour and the pictures where much clearer this way too. Great to read on the iPad and will definitely read it this way from now on, and the best thing is that when jess leaves in the summer I still get to see what's going on in school and keep updated with their news. Great Idea for web access and saves paper too and trips to recycle centre. perhaps letters from school might be good this way as often I never get them too until weeks after they are handed and so much easier to reply to via email as well. :-)

We saw the lion king in Manchester on the same day as your pupils, I felt it was important you know what we saw.

My partner and I work in schools and have been on numerous school trips. We both wanted you to know how wonderful and well behaved the children were and that they young girl who helped the older gentleman who tripped was so very kind and thoughtful. Whilst entering the theatre the were so well behaved and although excited they were so patient and well mannered too.

A complete credit to you and your staff, their parents and most of all themselves for behaving so well.

I find people so often ignore the good and only comment on the bad, I hope this message helps with life's balance.
