Hello

Please pass on a huge thank you to all the children, staff and helpers who were such an amazing group of people for this year’s Children in Need choir in Alnwick.

We have had some tremendous feedback – some even saying our choir members were the best of all!

Despite the long day, I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and thank you too for all your help with the various form-filling and replying to my many phone calls!

Thanks again and best wishes

Darren

Another year and another great performance from our wonderful school choir, I and everyone at St Andrews thought your performance was superb, this again was not only the view of our parents but of all parents there from other schools, comments such as "brilliant', 'outstanding' and " they have stole the show again" are just a few of the comments I heard whilst leaving. I know Molly will miss the choir greatly when she leaves in the summer and i know it will leave me with a heavy heart, keep up the great work kids :)

What are the words that best express the North Lakes Choir's perfomance at this evening's carol concert? They must include outstanding, exceptional, harmonious, clear and without doubt in a class of their own, or more currently the choir with the 'X' factor.

Very well done and thank you so much for all the hard work that has made it possible for the children in the choir to reach their full potential.

I would like to offer your school a huge vote of thanks, as Clerk to SACRE (the Standing Advisory Council for RE), after you welcomed us as a group of strangers to witness and share in an act of collective worship.

Your celebration assembly showed many aspects of good practice in the way the children were included, and their behaviour and response were notable. The singing was Fantastic... and I for one watched Children in Need with greater enthusiasm than usual, knowing that I might recognise a face or two and would certaily recognise the song!

The whole celebration assembly was very uplifting. Many thanks for your hospitality, with thanks and every good wish to staff and pupils.

I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to all the staff at North Lakes School for all your commitment and dedication you have shown to Lennox over the past four years. He was very sad to leave your school yesterday (and so was I!!). You have given him so many opportunities both in and outside the classroom including being a part of the choir and singing at the Roundhouse and being part of the Titanic Concert, trips to see the musicals Mamma Mia, Wicked, Annie and Starlight Express (he is gutted he won't get to go to see the Lion King!), residentials to Liverpool and Hawse End, learning about topics like the Tudors, the Egyptians and the World Wars (I didn't learn anything like that until secondary school!!) and having the chance to be part of the Olympic Torch Procession. We are so very proud of his achievements and you have given him a solid foundation to enable him to get the most out of UCC. Thanks so much again and hopefully see you all soon.

It was a very great pleasure for me to accompany the pupils from North Lakes School on their visit to Leeds to see the stage production of "Annie". We thought we might not get there on time due to an accident on the A66. Thankfully after re-routing, the driver got us there with minutes to spare. The pupils were so good and well behaved especially under the difficult circumstances. I have been with pupils on many visits now and I never fail to receive compliments from some members of the public on the school's excellent behaviour. I was not disappointed yesterday as a group of people seated behind us in the theatre spoke to me and said that they were all retired teachers and admired the children's conduct. They asked where we were from and were very interested to hear about the School. Hopefully they will visit the school website.
Well done to the pupils for being great representitives for their school.
