North Lakes Mathematicians have surpassed themselves in this terms Cumbria Sumdog Maths Contest taking several top prizes! This time, Rydal pitched into 1st place, winning the competition with 438 points. Ullswater Maths group took 2nd place with 421 points, and Buttermere Maths group were 3rd in Cumbria with 361 points. It is wonderful to have all of our classes in the Cumbrian top 10, while daily winners of the contest included Bassenthwaite, Buttermere, Rydal, Ullswater and Windermere.

The congratulations don’t stop there, as North Lakes also had 45 of the top 50 students in Cumbria, and several top 10 students in Cumbria, placed as follows: 2nd  Nahal – 968 correct; 3rd  Francesco – 967; 4th  Jessica J – 964; 5th  Alfie – 952; 6th Chloe – 925; 7th Aleyna – 913; 8th Jaxxon – 909; 9th Millie G – 904. Each competitor could answer a maximum of 1000 questions each. Well done to you all! We are so proud of everyone who has taken part in this competition. Rydal Maths have won a 6-month class subscription for the school.
