Lady Taverner's Blackpool Day (Sept 2014)
North Lakes was invited to participate in a fun filled action packed day at Blackpool pleasure Beach. Several children were welcomed by a group of Lady Taveners, along with Sponge Bob Square Pants and furry friends! Pupils enjoyed a fish, chip and ice cream lunch, watched a talented magician and used their special passes on the Pleasure Beach. Leaving Blackpool at 5pm, the mini bus was unusually quiet with exhausted pupils and rather wet, exhausted adults since the last ride was Valhalla! 
Thanks to Lady Taverners, who have been great friends to North Lakes through funding a large proportion of the initial cost of our mini bus, we are able to transport all of our pupils to a variety of events including sport, horse riding and outdoor education . It enables all pupils to participate in all that we do. We are able to transport children in wheelchairs as we have an exterior lift and can lock the wheelchair into the interior to ensure travel is safe.
