Inclusive Sports Day at Penrith Leisure Centre (May 2018)

Several of our pupils attended the Inclusive Sports Day at Penrith Leisure Centre on Thursday 17th May.  This event was organised by Eden Valley Sports Partnership and gave everyone an opportunity to participate.

 

Activities included: Table Cricket, Table Tennis and Boccia. Everyone tried something! Games were adapted if wheelchairs couldn’t access an event. 

 

Everyone participated and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The staff and other participants were encouraging and supportive.  Sport should be accessible for all.  Participants in the Paralympics and the Invictus games are an inspiration and role models for us all!
