Hunter Hall Cross Country (Apr 2018)

After the event being postponed last term to bad weather, we were greeted with a warm spring afternoon for an action packed event. A huge group of 46 pupils from Y3 - Y6 represented North Lakes School, running a grueling course over field and fell. A few new obstacles had been added along the route this year to challenge all runners, but every athlete showed grit and determination to finish this course. Perseverance and collaboration muscles were clearly exercised as children worked in teams to encourage each other along. Staff and parents were so proud of the children.

We had many top ten places in fields of over 100 runners per race! The Y5/6 girls team gained a silver medal for their efforts and North Lakes were named 2nd school overall. What an amazing achievement by so many pupils – well done to all involved and a big thank you to Mr Beaty for his efforts in training us!
