On Thursday 2nd July, North Lakes School’s regular horse riders went to their annual Horse riding picnic. These children were myself (Ike), Kieran P, Sarah S, Andrew K and Matthew S. The picnic was held at the Jersey Ice Cream Farm just outside of Penrith. We all had a lot of fun and we even got to eat ice cream too!
When we arrived at the ice cream farm we got into our riding clothes and helmets and then we did a few laps of the field on our horses and we also did a really hard assault course – but we all completed it well! Following this we sat down on some lovely benches to enjoy our packed lunches. After we had let our lunch settle, we were asked if wanted to play on the huge outdoor play area. It was so much fun! We were all so hot after playing outside so we were all treated to an ice cream – mine was bright blue!!
Before we went home we investigated the indoor play area which had lots of big slides and some swinging bars! When it was finally time to go home, we were so tired but we had had a brilliant day!
