G&T French Baking Event (Nov 2016)

This term Malina and Raisa-Bianca were lucky enough to represent our school at a Gifted and Talented French baking event at UCC. Mrs Atkinson, one of our school Governors took the girls along. They had to bake French bread (baguettes). They learned some new French words, designed their own bread shape, baked the bread and brought it home to enjoy with their families. The girls learned how to follow the recipe and to bake their own bread.

If you’d like to make your own baguette, then follow this simple recipe from the girls-

  • 250g plain flour
  • 1 packet of yeast
  • 200ml water
  • Mix together, then shape. Bake for 20 minutes at 200 degrees and enjoy.
