Governors' Corner (Spring 2017)
We are sorry that two of our long established Governors have now decided to retire, after many years of excellent service to the school. Both Jackie Westgarth (our current Chair), and Rev Colin Sands (Chair of Staffing Committee), have made a great contribution to the Governing Body and we would like to thank them both for their very real support, generosity, challenge and encouragement that has been greatly appreciated by all of the staff.
Our new Chair of Governors is Dr Martin Duke, and we are delighted to have recently welcomed three new Governors in Christine Mason, James Lancaster and Coral Thwaytes. Christine and John have attended their first meeting and Coral is due to join us after Easter. One vacancy for a Co-Opted Governor remains, and any expressions of interest are welcome to the school office. Many thanks to all our Governors for the time, support and challenge that they offer to the school.
