Girls' FA Football Tournament (Oct 2017)
So far this term we have taken part in two all-girl festivals. Over twenty-five girls from Year 5 and 6 went to Penrith Leisure Centre to take part in these friendly tournaments promoting the game. Some of the girls are new to the game and some are regular players for Castletown and Penrith Angels, however the tournament is about gaining experience and enjoyment. Playing with local schools the girls have so much fun, and have really enjoyed the games so far. We have also seen that we have one or two stars in the making! The next event takes place in March – watch out for details and perhaps consider coming along.
