Girls FA Football (Nov 2015)
This term we were invited to enter an all-girls football team into a friendly promotional tournament. With a number of North Lakes girls already keen players with local teams at weekends, it wasn’t difficult to raise an enthusiastic team. Eleven girls from years 4, 5 and 6 donned the school colours and walked to QEGS Sports Hall for a fun and action packed afternoon.
Along with Stainton, Beaconside and Lazonby, North Lakes played a round robin of matches, winning many of their games. Congratulations go to Pati, Bethan, Sophie, Daisy, Chase, Freya, Lexi, Leah, Sophie, Katie G and Charlotte, who were all great team players on the day. Many thanks to Simon Savage (Charlotte’s Dad) for his last minute help enabling the girls to go to the tournament! If there are any further girlies out there who fancy playing a game or two next year please see Mrs Greenwood.
