FoNLS Autumn Update (Dec 2018)

Glamour v Ghoul…

There was a mix of glamour, glitz and sparkle at our Horrortastic Halloween Disco!   A fabulous, fun night was had by all.

Fantastic dance moves and shapes were to be seen on the dance floor.  Costumes came in all shapes and sizes (including an inflatable T-Rex!), and there were some creative, homemade costumes this year.

There was the usual raffle and refreshments. Our resident DJ Ryan Crawford was his usual best taking requests from the dance floor.

The event raised over £250.  Many thanks for the generous help and donations of raffle prizes.

SNOWMAN DRIVE

The Snowman Drive was really well supported this year, with a full hall and an overspill into 2 classrooms!

Parents and carers generously supported school with their donations of gifts and prizes for the hampers, raffle and the Chocolate rewards.  The children enjoyed the start of the Christmas festivities by wearing their Christmas jumpers in exchange of chocolate.

The night itself was action packed.  Families played on tables of 4 and with 6 games on a sheet they were all going to be guaranteed winners. With so many playing, we had to send out for more chocolate rewards! It was great to watch the supportive play game playing taking place. Those dice were busy!  There were cheers and whoops all around.

Our raffle is always a winner with so many generous donations from surrounding businesses including  Walby Farm Park, North Lakes Hotel, Town Hall Treasures,  Lakeland Steamers, Centre Parcs, and the usual cash prize.  The hampers as usual were full to bursting and a worthy prize!

Thanks to all our helpers, parent volunteers and staff - we couldn’t do it without you
