EVSP Swimming Gala (Jan 15)
Once again this year we took part in the EVSP swim gala. Over 25 children from Years 3-6 represented North Lakes School in true sporting fashion. With many outstanding individual performances, some of our swimmers recorded personal bests and really gave their all in races against the clock. For some swimmers it was their first real try at swimming in a gala and performing under pressure but, using their resilience, they took a risk and achieved success. The relay teams showed brilliant teamwork and the words of encouragement amongst the swimmers was a joy to listen to.
The Year 3 team really stepped up to the mark performing so well in an open age race with most of the teams consisting of Year 6 pupils. The swimmers showed real guts and determination to give an incredible performance.
Times were celebrated back at school and all competitors received a certificate in our Friday Celebration Assembly. Keep training hard. guys, Penrith Leisure Centre have just been in touch this week to offer a new style of gala in the Summer term !
