Hi everyone, this term in Grasmere we have been exploring the story of Buddha and how Buddhism started.
We have enjoyed making prayer wheels and wrote our own special mantras, that we would wish for others, such as happiness. We put them inside our prayer wheels before painting them with metallic paint to look like the old metal Buddhist’s prayer wheels. We have also painted Buddha, in an abstract style, using the interesting texture of wholemeal flour in poster paint.
We have been finding out about why we celebrate Easter and why we celebrate with Easter eggs. Iwona has had great fun making Faberge eggs, bunny eggs and deep sea diving eggs with Grasmere.
