County Swimming Gala (Spring 2017)
On January the 14th, 28th and 29th there was a County Gala. I was really nervous because I had never been to the County Gala before, but I had been to others (this one was much scarier).
When I arrived at Workington swimming pool I got ready for the warm up and then after I had finished it I waited until my race, and then got prepared for my event. It was so nerve-wracking while I was waiting but then the whistle blew, I dived off the block and swam my race as fast as possible! When the race was over I was full of adrenaline and happiness.
On the way home I was holding three county badges and feeling very proud of myself! Two weeks later I swam again at the same pool and after both weekends of swimming I had won five first' places, two seconds and a third.
