Children in Need Pudsey Bear Visit with BBC Radio Cumbria (Nov 2017)

On Thursday the 16th of November, the children at North Lakes School were treated to a visit from the well-known Pudsey Bear! He made this visit to inspire the children to donate money to Children in Need. First, he met the wonderful year 3 and 4 children and had a special picture with each class. The hall was buzzing with excitement as they waited patiently for him.  As he arrived they sang the school song to him. A child from Coniston reported that they saw a fuzzy yellow ear poking out of the doorway nervously and they immediately knew that it was Pudsey. After the year 3 and 4 children had their time with Pudsey, they returned to their classrooms. It was then time for the amazing Year 5 and 6 children to meet the famous bear.

Before the special assembly, each child was offered a delicious biscuit, which had been donated by Greggs. The mouth-watering biscuits cost 20p with all of the money raised going towards the brilliant charity Children in Need. Overall, this amazing day raised £220, which will help to make a big difference to many children.
