Chess Tournament (Nov 2014)
On Thursday 6th November Megan, Jack MG, Robert and Harrison represented North Lakes at the Chess Tournament organised by Kevin Southernwood at Ullswater Community College. 
All participants were very enthusiastic players, thinking carefully about strategies, they tried very hard to outwit their opponents. They focused and played solidly for 2 hours. They won, lost and drew their matches. Most importantly they were enthusiastic, polite ambassadors for North Lakes and thoroughly enjoyed taking part. Well done, Chess Players!
Mr Southernwood runs a club at Ullswater Community College each Monday evening between 4pm and 6pm. Several children from North Lakes have regularly attended. He would welcome any new members to his chess club.
