Once again North Lakes Chess club made a great contribution to the Chess Tournament at Ullswater Community College. Accompanied by Mrs Phillips, our players Tom, Lewis, Jack and Daniel played very strategic games in order to defeat their opponents. What can we say - we won some, we lost some, but a good time was had by all!
Chess Club is run by Tom and Lewis each lunchtime at North Lakes. They always provide a warm welcome to any new player. They will teach even very new beginners! Give it a try one lunchtime. A massive thank you to Kevin Southernwood from UCC who runs a chess club each Monday Evening from 4pm - open to all - and organises the chess tournaments.
